1. What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is custom-fit jewelry that is welded or soldered together on your wrist, ankle, or neck, eliminating the need for a clasp. It's designed to be worn continuously without removing it.

2. Is permanent jewelry really "permanent"?
While the jewelry is meant to be worn indefinitely, it typically lasts 4 - 6+ years and can be removed if needed. You can use scissors or wire cutters to snip it off. If you'd like it reattached, we offer re-welding services.

3. Does the welding process hurt?
No, the welding process is painless. The jewelry is welded, but the heat and spark are very controlled and do not touch your skin. Safety precautions are taken to ensure comfort.

4. What types of jewelry are available?
Permanent jewelry options typically include bracelets, anklets, rings, hand chains, waist chains and necklaces. Materials often include gold, sterling silver, and other durable metals that can withstand daily wear.

5. How long does the process take?
The process is quick and usually takes about 10-15 minutes. This includes selecting your chain, custom fitting, and welding the ends together.

6. Can permanent jewelry break?
While permanent jewelry is durable, it is not indestructible. It can break if pulled with force or caught on something. In most cases, it can be repaired or re-welded.

7. Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes! Permanent jewelry options are considered hypoallergenic and made with materials like solid gold, gold filled or sterling silver, which are less likely to cause irritation. However, it’s important to check the metal type if you have known sensitivities.

8. Can I go through airport security with permanent jewelry?
Yes, permanent jewelry is TSA-friendly. Since the metals used are typically non-magnetic, it won’t set off metal detectors.

9. What if I need to remove the jewelry for medical reasons?
In case of a medical procedure (like surgery or an MRI) where the jewelry needs to be removed, it can be cut off with scissors, nail timmer or wire cutters. We offer free re-welding but will charge for any new material needed.

10. Can I shower, swim, or exercise with permanent jewelry?
Yes, permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear, including showering, swimming, and exercising. However, certain chemicals like chlorine or saltwater may cause tarnishing depending on the material.
If your permanent jewelry becomes too tight due to swelling or other reasons, you can have it removed by cutting it off.

12. Can I add charms to my permanent jewelry?
Yes, we offer the option to add beautiful charms or custom details to your permanent jewelry. It’s a great way to personalize your piece.
13. Can children get permanent jewelry?
We don't recommend permanent jewelry for kids under 13. We can still create beautiful custom jewelry with clasps to get the permanent jewelry look without welding it on.

14. Can I choose different chain styles or metal types?
Most jewelers offer a variety of chain styles and metal options, such as gold, sterling silver, and rose gold. You can choose the material and style that best suits your taste and lifestyle.

15. Do I need to schedule an appointment?
Many jewelers prefer appointments to ensure the proper time for customization, but some may accept walk-ins. It’s best to check with your jeweler in advance.

16. What if I want to remove the jewelry temporarily and then reattach it?
Permanent jewelry can be removed and reattached later by a jeweler. Keep in mind that there may be a fee for re-welding it back together.

17. Can I get permanent jewelry if I have metal allergies?
If you have metal allergies, it’s important to discuss this with your jeweler. Many offer hypoallergenic materials like titanium or platinum, which are safer for those with sensitivities.

18. Is permanent jewelry suitable for daily wear, like at work or during physical activities?
Yes, permanent jewelry is designed for daily wear. However, if you have a profession or hobbies that involve using your hands extensively or working with machinery, you may want to consider whether wearing it 24/7 is practical or safe for you.

19. Can I have permanent jewelry while pregnant?
Yes, you can wear permanent jewelry while pregnant. However, if you experience significant swelling, you may need to have the piece removed or resized.
